Inspiring countries around the world, visionaries of technology and how we process information.  Let’s take a journey in the Jefferson’s world and see how good we are. Rubber Duckies to voyages crossing the equator explore the innovation of The Jefferson’s family of bourbon. A line up of Ocean Aged At Sea, Rum Cask and Pitchard Hill Cabernet Cask – can we decipher the uptick on the tradition of Jefferson’s Reserve. From the Chappallet Winery of the vast lands of France to the American heritage of real bourbon, we can say oak is oak, but let’s just see.  It’s the Rules of Three.

011- Shining Southern Star

There are stars in the southern sky, and if ever you decide you should go, there is a taste of time sweetened honey, down the Seven Bridges Road (and at Southern Distilling!)

Our first foray into an episode exploring a single distillery’s offering, the Bourbon Boys play the local card and sample 4 pours from North Carolina’s own Southern Distilling.  Big question – can their “slightly sophisticated” bourbon palates detect a distinct difference between the tastes of two single barrel offerings (41 & 61, to be exact)? The evening is capped off with tasting a delicious dessert-like bourbon drink that is sure to be an instant favorite for all who try it - you’ll want to write this one down!

We take the “Under $20 Bottle Challenge”.  Can a bottom shelf bourbon, under $20 be worth it? How do they taste? What is sour mash? Are these all the same bourbon from Bardstown but with different labels? Can the Bourbon Boys guess which is Ezra Brooks, Henry McKenna or Evan Williams 1783? Will there be a winner?
